Diode as a clipper!

 

          Diode as a CLIPPER

 

The objective of the lab was to study the characteristic of a diode as a CLIPPER. The clipper removes a part of the signal, positive or negative i.e. which is required to be clipped.

When clipper clips the positive half of the signal, it is a Positive Clipper, and is a Negative Clipper when clips the negative half of the signal. However when both the halves of the cycle are clipped at a time, the circuit becomes a Limit Circuit.
